Extensive research has proven the use of blockwork in real fires to be an ideal fire-break and also protective cladding for steel frames. QUINN lite thermal blocks provide excellent fire protection in both load bearing and non load bearing applications. In load bearing situations a 100mm QUINN lite wall will provide two hour fire rating while a non-loadbearing wall of the same thickness will provide four hours fire rating.
QUINN lite Thermal blocks are non combustible and have a Class 0 resistance to surface spread of flames. The table below outlines thickness of block required to meet a specific fire resistance.
